Orange sees 12 deeds recorded, but sale prices lag for most transactions

Franklin County's registry recorded 12 property transfers in Orange between Aug. 21 and Sept. 19, but sale prices had posted for just two by report time: $170,000 for 465 Tully Rd. and $2,000 for 131 Fairman Rd., putting the calculated median at $86,000. The other 10 sales are awaiting price data, which typically appears within about a week of recording. Notably, seven of the 12 deeds involve a bank or mortgage company as buyer or seller, more than half of the period's recorded transfers. With most prices unavailable, the data doesn't support a read on whether the market ran active or quiet this period.
