Just One of a Dozen Orange Property Deeds Reveals a Sale Price

Twelve property deeds were recorded in Orange between July 3 and Aug. 1, according to Franklin County Registry of Deeds records, but only one, the July 9 sale of 277 Walnut Hill Road for $292,000, included a disclosed price. That transaction, in which Brian and Alexis Pfeifle transferred the property to Digital Federal Credit Union and Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc., was the month's only priced sale and its de facto high and low. Main Street's four segments accounted for the most recorded activity on any single road. Several other deeds involved lenders or same-family transfers; with prices undisclosed for 11 of 12 transactions, overall market tone cannot be assessed from this data.
